In a recent interview with Mundo Deportivo, Lamine Yamal expressed strong confidence in FC Barcelona’s ability to compete for every title this season. However, he acknowledged Liverpool as the main obstacle in their Champions League campaign.
The 17-year-old forward made it clear that Barcelona’s ambition is to win everything, stating, “We have to believe we are the best and that we play the best football—because I truly think we do.”
Yamal emphasized that Barcelona’s position in La Liga is no accident but a reflection of their strong performances. When asked which trophy he considers most attainable, he responded with determination: “If we can win both La Liga and the Champions League, then why not both? I have no preference.”
Despite his confidence, he recognized Liverpool as the only team ahead of Barca in the Champions League race: “There’s only one team that I see as a bigger favorite than us, and that’s Liverpool because they finished first.”
Still, the young star remains optimistic about Barcelona’s chances across all competitions, stressing that success is in their hands: “It all depends on us.” He closed the interview with a statement that reflects the team’s mindset: “Winning is the key—once you start winning, advancing becomes easier and easier.”
