That quote from Chase Elliott is pretty sounds like he’s over the whole Throwback Weekend concept. It’s interesting to hear that from a driver who’s often part of the fan-favorite schemes.
Saying “we’re gonna be throwing it back to me in 2018” definitely hits on how the nostalgia angle might be wearing thin.
What do you think? Is it time NASCAR retires Throwback Weekend, or is it still got some magic left if they refresh the concept a bit?
