BREAKING: Tottenham and Chelsea lined up for €40-50m transfer tussle – Both willing to pay up

Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have emerged as potential suitors for AFC Bournemouth’s standout winger, Antoine Semenyo, according to reports from Area Napoli. The 25-year-old has been in impressive form this season, contributing nine goals and five assists in 31 appearances for the Cherries, catching the attention of several top clubs.

Last week, TuttoMercatoWeb revealed that Napoli had expressed interest in Semenyo, with Bournemouth reportedly valuing the player at around €30 million. However, *Area Napoli* now suggests that the asking price has risen significantly, with Bournemouth demanding between €40-50 million for the Ghanaian international. The report also highlights that both Tottenham and Chelsea are keen on securing Semenyo’s services and are prepared to offer substantial sums to bring him to the Premier League.

While Napoli have built a good relationship with Bournemouth in recent years—having signed Philip Billing and Hamed Traorè on loan in the last two winter transfer windows—this connection is unlikely to help them secure a discount for Semenyo. The Serie A club now faces stiff competition from the Premier League duo, who are reportedly ready to spend big to land the talented winger.

Adding to the intrigue, Semenyo’s compatriot, former Ghana international Matthew Amoah, has advised him against joining Tottenham, though the reasons behind this advice remain unclear. With Napoli’s financial limitations and the Premier League clubs’ willingness to invest heavily, the Italian side may find it challenging to secure Semenyo’s signature in the upcoming summer transfer window.
